This site is about travel to interesting places in the USA and the joys and difficulties of photographing them. Some of these places are well-known and some are not. But all are memorable in their own unique ways and our goal is to capture that uniqueness and to communicate it to you through the travel accounts and photography found in the "Gallery." In addition to the travel narratives and the photography, in the "Notes from the Road" blog we will be reporting on the use of digital cameras and related devices in the field - which offer many new and different challenges than photography with traditional equipment.

All photographic images appearing in the "Gallery" may be purchased as low- or high-resolution, downloadable, digital files or in print/poster form. What's the difference between a poster and a print? A
poster includes a title or descriptive text along with
the photograph, outside the image area. You can
order a high-quality poster print of any image you
see in the "Gallery.
